Flying a Firebird XL is a lot like driving a radio control car. You're virtually guaranteed a successful, fun filled RC flying adventure. Thanks to its innovative Flight-Trak control system, your Firebird XL can be flown smoothly and accurately with just two simple controls: steering and throttle. The throttle provides for cruise, climb and descent; the steering means you literally "steer your airplane" left and right through the sky.
Long Flying Time
The 900mAh NiMH pack consistently gives 15 minutes of flying time.
Landing Gear

Launch with a rolling take-off and shoot touch-and-gos.

Extra Stable Wings
Dual wing braces for the polyhedral wing and a light- weight composite spar rod. These work together to substantially strengthen the wing and help prevent any warping. The wing is further strengthened by a factory mounted wing cap on the trailing edge that keeps the rubber bands from digging into the foam on the wing.
Canopy Stays Closed

The Firebird XL features a latch and rubber band that holds the canopy shut in flight.

Powerful Engine
The 380-size motor in the Firebird XL packs quite a punch. In several of our test flights, a straight-out climb at full throttle for about 45 seconds would put the Firebird XL at about 600 feet and almost out of sight.
